Re: is anyone handwriting their invites???
I think if you can write them all really nice and don't mind putting in the time and energy it's a great idea. I just got an invitation with regular script handwriting on the envelope and I thought it looked really nice. I cursed myself for having terrible handwriting.

Re: is anyone handwriting their invites???
I would have handwritten mine, and I believe that's the way it is supposed to be done (the whole 'personal touch' idea). FH thought that having the addresses printed on the envelopes was a much better option, and wouldn't give in. I don't think I have great handwriting, but I don't think it's that bad either. We ended up buying a program from staples and printing out all of the addresses.

Re: is anyone handwriting their invites???
I wrote mine out myself. I used a calligrapher's tool to make sure I wrote in a straight line. I am a teacher so my handwriting is pretty neat.
If anyone thought it was tacky, they didn't tell me. And I only haved 3 no's so far....

I thought it was traditional for the bride to hand write the envelopes. I did it for my friend.. My mom and I will do mine.

Re: is anyone handwriting their invites???
Darren and I already inquired about a Calligrapher. But my mom has superb handwriting, so I'm considering having her just write plain script.

The trick to writing in a straight line is to take a sheet of lined paper, put it inside the envelope you are addressing, and then set yourself up on a glass table with a light underneath. The light will make the lines show through the envelope.
