We're getting married on a Friday evening & our reception is over at 12:30 AM at the Chateau Briand, we have a pretty good 'party crowd' attending & we want to continue the party afterwards. We're staying at the Fox Hollow Inn that night, does anyone know of any good places where we can continue to party at that's not too far away????? Thanks!!

Re: Is Anyone Having an 'After Party?'
I would love to hear the response to this one. My reception is at North Ritz Club (not far from the Fox Hollow Inn) and ends at 12. We aren't from LI and we drove all around looking for a good after place or a hotel with a lobby bar and had little success.
I have my guests staying at the Holiday Inn in Plainview (5-10 min drive from NRC). I am providing shuttle bus service to the hotel from the reception (no drinking and driving). They have a restaurant/bar with a small small dance floor. It was the only hotel of reasonable price that I found with a bar. The problem was the bar said that they sometimes close at 12 depends on how crowded the bar is and the latest it stays open would be 1:30ish.

The only thing I can think of if you're game is calling up the hotel and seeing if you can get a hospitality suite.. not sure if you want to spare the expense, but it's a thought..

There is also a bar not too far from there in Syosset on Jericho Turnpike called The Inn Between.

Re: Is Anyone Having an 'After Party?'
My reception is at the Hamlet Windwatch and most of my guests are staying at the Wyndam. The Wyndam has agreed to keep their lounge area (bar!) open for a while after the wedding. Maybe you can speak with the hotel where you have blocked rooms. They may be willing to open their bar for you as well

Cool, I'll check those out, I'll have to call the Fox Hollow to see what they can do. Most of our guests will be at the Fox Hollow as well.

Re: Is Anyone Having an 'After Party?'
We have our bridal party and most of our family and close friends staying at a hotel nearby that has a bar/club that is open late since our reception is over at 1am and we all plan on having a brunch buffet at the hotel the next day.

Re: Is Anyone Having an 'After Party?'
i believe that when we looked at fox hollow the banquet manager mentioned that people have small after parties at the hotel. i think he mentioned some kind of courtyard... i'm not sure if they have a bar though. we're looking into an after party somewhere as well. there are a few bar/restaurants in jericho/syosset that might be good. i think coolfish is nearby. the marriot next to CB would be good... the bar was recently redone. i would check out zagat's & see if there are places nearby with a separate room.

Re: Is Anyone Having an 'After Party?'
Our reception is at Westbury Manor on a friday night and i am definately going to speak with them about keeping the bar open. If not, we are probably going to stay at the garden city hotel because I know we can keep partying there!

Re: Is Anyone Having an 'After Party?'
We are going to our local townie bar where we hang out a lot after the wedding - it was either that or out dancing to blue tequila, but they get so crowded and there's a cover and I want to spend time with these guests not get lost in a crowd. The bar is going to have some food ready, and we are just going to relax and play the jukebox! (and yes, still in my dress!!)

Re: Is Anyone Having an 'After Party?'
Some of our guests and us as well are staying at the Marriott in Uniondale, and they too leave the bar open later if you are going back there, so that is where we will go. Anyone else that wants to join us is local so it should work out pretty good.

Re: Is Anyone Having an 'After Party?'
We are having our wedding at captain bill's, it ends around 12:30. There will be water taxies waiting for all of us, to take us over to fire Island. We rented 2 houses, one for me and Patrick and one for the friends and family. This was also a good idea because we have a lot of friends that we were not able to invite to the wedding, so they'll meet us there. FUN, FUN. and yes I'll be in my dress.

Re: Is Anyone Having an 'After Party?'
Kelly, that sounds AWESOME!!! Well girls, I just called the Fox Hollow & she told me that they don't really have a bar/lounge inside the hotel but that we could have something inside our suite...hmm....not sure if I wanna do that, I wanted more of a 'Party' atmosphere. But yeah, I plan on staying in my dress for as long as possible since that's the only day I'll ever wear it! hee-hee!!!
