I invited the President...haven't heard back from him yet, though.
I don't know, my RSVP already passed. Gees, you'd think HE would know enough to RSVP in a timely fashion!!!

I want to invite Elton John. I know he won't come but I am hoping to get a letter or something back

oh my Julie... i said this the other day ... i saw him on oprah and i said how amazing it would be for him to SING a song at my wedding i wanted to write him a letter.. i know he wouldnt but that is funny great minds think alike
are you really writing a letter? to where?
my parents just went to a wedding in NYC (their friends daughter was getting married) jerry seinfeld is their cousin and a few other famous people were there
my dad goes with his friend to teh METS games and i think RANGER games and sits in SEINFELD'S box

I am really going to write to ELton John because I LOVE HIM! Anyway I was searching online and I found a website that says he does not respond to emails, but if you send him snail mail there is actually a chance he will respond. Here is what I found.
'If you want to keep the very slim chance of Elton replying to your fanmail you should write a snail mail letter to him. The letter should be sent to Hercules. They will then forward it to Elton. The address:

I actually know a girl who inquired about Shania Twain singing at her wedding - her people asked for $25K!!!
Never though of asking anyone famous besides the president.....

My GF invited the President, teh Pope, and Alabina (our favorite musician). She got responses back from the PResident and the pope.

I'm with you! FH and I are using 'Your Song' as our first dance. We're trying to get our band to sing it like the version from Moulin Rouge. We are Elton fanatics!

I'm thinking of inviting Ben Folds. We got engaged to his song 'the Luckiest' at his concert in Central Park last summer. My brother knows him and called him and asked him to play the song so my FI could ask me then! I don't know if he'll come, but maybe my brother can arrange it!
