Is anyone NOT doing favors?

I know this might be an unpopular idea, considering how many people do donations 'in lieu of' favors and the like...

But just wanted to see if anyone was forgoing the idea all together.

We thought about forgoing them altogether, but the more I read online, the more I felt like I needed to give people something.

But I knew I couldn't spend very much, so we decided on food! FMIL and FSILs will be baking cookies and we'll put them in a little bag with a thank you tag and that's that. Who doesn't like cookies?

i'm the same way, really, I got coasters at one a while ago and they are still sitting in the purse I went there with.

My aunt is insisting on the favor thing. Fine, knock yourself out, I say to her. I'm not putting them together. lol.

I know how you feel about wanting to do something...

We are having a photobooth and we are providing bakery boxes for our guests to take home stuff from the vienesse hour.

But I don't feel like I need to do a donation or anything. We do plenty of charitable donations to causes personal to us over the course of the year. We regularly do volunteer work as well, so I feel like we already do give back to the community and I don't need to make a wedding 'favor' about that...

It's just interesting to get a feel for what the opinion of the masses is or favors.

I feel like since you are already doing the photobooth and the boxes for V hour you don't need to do an additional favor.

I agree. I think those are great favors as is!

Thanks all - weddings are hard enough with all of the guilt tripping that goes on, and I just didn't want this one aspect of the wedding to compound that...

side note: SO excited for the photobooth myself!

I have gone to weddings and did not receive a favor and was not upset about it.

We're giving out some edible goodies as guests are leaving and are considering that the favor.

same. i've left behind many favors that i didn't think i would use. we're giving out edible favors.

i went to a wedding and there was no favor.
i thought it was cheap and i was disappointed jmo
