Is anyone not having a Videographer?

Original post by nraboni

I really don't think I am going to have a videographer...it's just not in the budget and I can't afford to even try to squeeze it in.

Is anyone else not having a Videographer?

We are having one and always planned on doing so.

I'm especially happy with the decision now because a couple weeks ago we were at FH's brother and SIL's house and decided to break out their wedding DVD. Our niece, their daughter who is 3 was in awe! She has made FH's SIL play the DVD almost everyday since. She says 'Mommy princess movie please'.

That's so cute

Please get one if you can! I would feel regret had we not included one. I am so glad we did because the day goes so fast, everything is just a blur at the end.

Sorry to crash ladies but having been married a year, I still pop it in every now and then & look back at the smiles and laughs. JMO

For us there was no questions about it- we wanted a video so we could see how everything looked and have memories of people who where there. And one day we can show it to our kids.

I have a friend whose Fiance refuses to get a video because he doesn't want a constant reminder of people who won't be in their lives anymore after the wedding- My Fiance and I feel the opposite way.

And we were reassured when I watched my Sweet 16 video recently (which a family friend with a videography service did) and there was film of my grandpa talking about how proud he was of me. My Grandpa was my favorite person in the world and he died 4 years ago and I am so grateful that I have that.
So I want that for my wedding. But we did go cheap- nothing too fancy just enough to have the memories.
