I went to macy's last night and looked at what they had to offer and absolutely nothing appealed to me. I'm registered at BBnB as well so I'll look there next week. but what if I don't see something I like. I don't wanna just get it just to get it.
Is or did anyone have this problem and what did you do?
TIA

Not us! There are 5 people in our bridal party that were married in the past 5 years and said 'what a waste'. One girl only got 3 sets and doesn't know what to do as she thinks its a waste of money to buy the others.

We didnt register for fine china.... I dont think we would use it anytime soon, and i'd rather receive gifts that we will use now

Re: Is anyone NOT putting china on their registry
we opted not to too...it just seemed way to expensive for something we weren't going to use (even for special occassions). we might change our mind in the future and we'll get ourselves a set then, but for now, i'm content with an everyday casual set
I don't like the formality of most China, but there are some beautiful sets at Crate and barrel worth checking out. Way more contemporary. I was always planning on registering for this first pic (bone china), but went with the second, as nice everyday dishes (porcelain). plus, my mom is an antique collector- I figured China is something I can start to collect with her. I LOVE the mix and match look. (3rd pic). Sorry to blabber- I love plates. And food on plates.
Nope! Can't really entertain in a 1 bedroom apt!!! We will get it one day when we have a house :)

We're not....I'm registering for really nice everyday dishes instead. I really don't think that we'd ever use china, and if one day I want it, my mom has a set as well as my grandmother's set

Re: Is anyone NOT putting china on their registry
I have it on my resitry, but I am thinking of taking it off. I am going to register for everyday dishes. When I get a house, I will buy my own china.

We didn't register for fine china, because I have my great-grandmother's from her wedding. We got everyday dishes from Crate and Barrel.
