yes, and I'm getting more nervous by the day. FH and I are going to meet this weekend and discuss - sort of get on the same page about length and content so we feel better and less in the dark about what we are writing.

That is a good idea. I am not sure what I want to do. It definately personalizes the ceremony. Good luck!

We are and at this moment I have no idea what to write about. Everything I think of sounds lame.

listen to some long sings, it might give you ideas or go through old cards you've kept, that will tell you thhe emotions you feel!

Same here. Well we are not writing our vows, but we are saying something to each other.

Yes!

FI has no idea and has asked me what he should write. I told him to write what he feels, what he sees for the future, and to think about traditional vaws, and follow suit to them.

I have been jotting stuff down as I go along and found that to really help. FI is a songwriter and musician, so I am also taking lyrics from one of his songs....I want to see if he recognizes it.

That's a really good idea. I wanna write my own but that would probably make the chance of me crying even higher plus FH is really bad at writing. Do you just whisper it to each other?

We are going to write our vows together - meaning we will work on them together and at the wedding say the same vows to each other.

But right before that part, we will read personal love letters to each other. Neither of us has started on those yet. I am a little nervous about it! We also talked about possibly reading the letter part to each other one or two night before the wedding so we can really absorb it and cry and all that. I am afraid if we leave it as a suprise for the day of, I will miss it b/c I will be so anxious/excited/nervous.

We are writing our own. Our pastor's only recommendation is that they should somehow include the traditional promises written in most vows.
