We are having a boy and DH and I are thinking of having him circumsized because DH is?

We are not jewish and the only reason we want to do it is because DH is?

I was just curious how many of your DH's are or are not?

Also would you circumsise your son?

I am also PG but I am having a

My DH is snipped but if we were having a boy we would NOT have circumsized him for many many reasons.........

You should do some research about circumcision and the pros and cons and base your decision on that and not do it just because your DH is...............

ETA: Hygeine wise an uncircumsized penis is no less cleaner then a circumsized one.....The American Academy of Pediatrics no longer 'reccomends' routine circumscision.

I know that is terrible to say, but I was SO turned off . I called my friend the next day and said that something was wrong with his penis, that it looked like those water balloon snakes you played with as a kid, and my friend said um jess he wasn't circumsized . I felt like a dumbas*.

me and dh have been talking about TTC and we will start in march, but we have also discussed this issue, if we have boys we will def have them circumsized

Wow...I think this is one of the weirdest questions I've seen on here.

If your DH is snipped, why wouldn't you just do the same thing to your son.....even more so, because you are not Jewish

dh snipped, my first bf was not and after that i swore if i ever had a son he would be snipped.

I do think natural is the way to go but in this case I think going with the social norm would be best for 'us.'

I guess because I had never seen one before I did not know how to react . The worst part is when I called my other best friend , I was like OMG it was so gross , how do girls do that blah blah
and there was dead silence on the other end ,and she said um Pete ( her now husband )isn't .

Okay this is totally TMI but my sister could decide if she wanted to or not with her son but she finally did. Well my nephew has autism and she will be taking care of him even when she is an adult and she always jokes around like thank god she did it bc that is definitely NOT something a mother wants to be cleaning and taking care of on her adult son! Like he bathes himself but not very well and he DEFINITELY would not be able to properly clean himself ( he is only seven now ) so it would have been a whole other thing to worry about!

my son is circumcised. fyi, you have to request that this be done, and usually your obgyn does it. it took about 10 minutes, and was done the day b4 we left the hospital.

i see one every single day. yes, my DH is unsnipped . the first time i saw it, i was like, that's just NOT going to work. but here we are, nearly 4 years later, and it's all good
