Is It a Full Moon or Something

Is It a Full Moon or Something

This day just gets better and better. I cannot believe I am on my third (or is it fourth) vent post of the day.

This time it's FH. In addition to his failure to ask his best man when his wife was seeing the MD about her 'back' problem, if I hadn't asked he wouldn't have bothered to tell me that said BM said 'it will be a last minute thing. we won't actually know if she can make it until a day or two before the wedding!' Who does this?? And why didn't FH think it was important enough to tell me?? And to add insult to injury, FH wants to know why it's such a big deal!?!? Ummm, hello, because we have to give the hall a headcount and PAY for everyone the day after tomorrow!

Then I overheard him on the phone offering to pay the extra $10 for the hotel for the damn OOT guest who couldn't reserve the frickin' room before the block closed on September 8! Mind you, I lied on the insert card and said the hotel block closed on August 31 expecting some booking after the deadline - but a FULL month after the RSVP date? And why on earth should WE have to pay the $10??? What the heck is going on with this sh!t???

And just to truly top things off, he asks me when I have to go to the hall on Wednesday. Ummm, me?? We made the appointment together and he was supposed to be going with me, and now all of a sudden it's when do I have to be at the RH, not when do we have to be at the RH!!! And of course he has no good reason (at least IMO it's no good reason) - he has to play baseball. Why??? Because he joined a second league without talking to me, asking me, discussing it with me - NOTHING!!

I need everyone to pray that his first team gets eliminated during tomorrow night's playoff match so he has NO game to play next week (a mere 5 days before the wedding), which he insists he will play over my objections. The fact that he has already been to the ER this season apparantly means nothing and he is willing to risk serious injury 5 days before the wedding.

I truly want to smack him upside the head and just get up in his face and rant about EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!

I truly don't know what I would be doing right now if I didn't have you ladies to vent to. Thanks from the bottom of my heart.

ETA:
He is in the next room on the phone with a friend that RSVP'd yes for himself and wife & two kids. I've been askin FH to find out how old all the kids he insisted on inviting are b/c we pay less for children under a certain age. So I walked into the room and asked are you talking to so and so. He said yes. So I asked him to find out how old the kids were. He answered me, then said to his friend 'the wife is obsessed with all the inconsequential things.' Can I hit him now?????????????????????

Please take a few hours (or a full day if you can) to go get a massage or mani/pedi.

I truly think wedding planning is some sort of hazing ritual and if you make it to the altar without killing your FH or anyone else you win

It's a bit late in the game but delegate some remaining things to your FH. I know you have done this (I recall a few of your posts) but no matter what happens do not take over his assigned job and do it for him. I had to force myself to not just take over the projects DH he did not get it done quickly.

If your FH does not get it done, so be it. I do not mean anything you can't do without (like paying the final payment) but maybe have him print the menu's or tie some programs. And by all means have him call his unconfirmed guests to get the headcount and send him to the bank to get the final payment. Those numbers will mean way more to him when he has to go and get the cash.
