Is this something that will be missed? At every wedding I've been too I can't tell you how many programs are literally tossed on the floor or left on chairs/pews.
These buggers take a lot of time and cost money. My DOC thinks it's a waste too but I wanted to double check with my girls on this. Does it look bad???

I don't think it looks bad, it's a personal preference. I do like receiving them as a guest and they didn't have them at the last wedding I attended and I did notice and miss them. But again, it's a personal preference......I'm going the DIY route to save money and would be happy to share the template if your interested.
I should add I am having a full Catholic Mass.

Getting married at the Hall, 1/2 hour ceremony, no reading, etc... to me it was not worth it.

I contemplated this myself and at the last minute I decided to do them.
I only did 50 programs and they probably will be left behind but I got a really good price from pippysweet.com so I made the decision at the last minute. I did not do crypacks for the same reason people leave them behind or they throw them out.
I would especially not do programs if I was having the ceremony at the reception site. Again, its a matter of personal preference.

i had all plans to make them....but as usual im late on starting things and before i knew it my wedding was here! So the day before as i was about to start i looked at the clock and said Forget it!!! Nobody even noticed or well if they did nobody said anything too me! Wish i did have them but def wasnt worth staying up for us to get them done!!!

im not doing it britt,, & im all over DIY in,, LOL
first , im getting married on a friday , I dont expect alot of people , 2nd they alwasy get thrown out, wast of energy & lastly, 1/2 my family is mt bp,, so they dont need to be explained on who they are,, LOL

I heard that you could go to jail if you don't do them! haha...i don't think it matters...but you could easily whip one up in word and just keep it text...and print them yourself on colored paper if it's bothering you...a very cheap alternative! I like to read who is in the bridal party, etc but i am a nerd!

i have been thinking about NOT doing them too. I dunno I feel like they are a waiste since only a few people actually pay attention to them.. I dunno maybe ill make like 2-30 pcs. just for the sake of having them and for the girls who like to make albums and have them as keepssakes. i will decide dofr sure closer tothe time of the wedding but to asnswer ur question. i dont thin it is something that is NEEDED, so it will not look bad if they are not there.

OK if the reigning queen of DIY isn't doing them then, there is NO WAY I am even considering them.
Like a few of the other ladies (Bari/Irene) I'm also having a simple 30 min. ceremony at the RH.

I originally was not going to do them either. But after doing pre-cana everyone suggested to make them because FH's family is Lutheran and we are having a Catholic mass. They thought it wouldnt be fair for his side... So now Im kinda torn.. I still might NOT do them anyway

I will need to do them since we are having a greek orthodox ceremony and his side is all catholic. It will explain the tradition of the greek ceremony.

Brit I'm not doing them either. It's way too much work and I really don't think they're necessary.
