Is it bad to say I dont want a bach party?
Original post by JJC
Ok..so I have posted before asking about ideas for 'non-club' type bachelorette party ideas and some of you posted some really great things like spas and stuff like that. I originally mentioned to my bridemaids that we can just do a nice dinner and they laughed at me...lol The thing is..I am 31 and so over that partying thing...too old for that crap. Plus..I have 7 bms that live anywhere from Huntington to Tarrytown and its SOOO hard to get them together with kids...grad school, work and everything else that I am thinking that I want to tell them to X the whole bach thing all together! I am going to have a shower and thats really all I need anyway! Do you think thats a bad thing?

I don't think it's bad at all!! You'd be saving them $$$! Who can argue with that?! As for the whole partying thing, I'm totally there with you. I just want to do dinner and drinks and maybe a lounge or something. Some of my BM are totally into the whole stripper thing and say I have to, but I'm not into it. I'm going to tell my MOH not to go crazy planning.

I don't think it's a bad thing. However, I think it's nice to get together with the girls and just hang back and not think of the wedding. I am not doing the 'party' type thing either because I think it's pointless. I am happy with a nice dinner and some drinks with the girls. But aside from that, it's totally your call. I think it's fine if you don't do it- if you think you won't regret having a bach-ette party, then don't have one!
