First I want to thnak everyone for their advice with the BM He!! topic and I took it to heart. I spoke with them and asked if they even wanted to do it because they kept putting off getting their dresses. They were ify about it so I sent out the other girls dress orders so they would have any extra charges. A week later my three wayward BMs call and want to be in the wedding. We go and order the dresses on Sat., they complain (loudly) about the rush fee (*which I ignored*), then about the dress (should have been their when the others went shopping), then about the color (its burgandy, it looks good on everyone and it my favorite color). Skip to sunday. They call and tell me they cancelled their orders because they really hate the dress! They want to pick new ones, is that ok?(insert headache from hell here) I flip out; they had two months to go for these dresses and they chose the end of febuary to do it. My fh calls and begs me to work with them because they raised him and he wants them in it. Skip to a five hour production on tuesday of THREE girls picking out a new dress. I can't switch the others dresses so now my family's in one and his is in another. I can not wait to see these pictures! Here are the two dresses please honestly tell me how bad this is going to look:

they have a similar neckline, if they are the same colors it will look fine. i have to be honest, i give you a lot of credit.......i would have told them-this is the dress and its my wedding 'oh well' props to you!

And this is why my girls are all just picking out any black dress they want. I don't care where you go, what you pick. Just make sure it is classy, dressy enough, black, you're happy in it, and I don't have to hear about it!
But the 2 dresses do look nice together. Definitely use the suggestion of alternating them so it looks like you meant for it to be that way.

And to answer your question, No, I do not think it's bad of you to say you hate your BM's. They earned that. Good luck with them. I hope they are more cooperative with you in the future!

Sorry you had to deal with all of that unnecessary stress....but in the end...the dresses look great they will all be the same color...and the neckline is also the same. Don't worry about it...everything will look beautiful!!!

they had no right to do that and i definitely agree that you should be nominated for sainthood.
the dresses will look great together - no worries!
but seriously, if they had said something like 'i cant wear a strapless i need a halter dress' it would make more sense to me than just choosing a similar dress - sounds like they were just trying to cause trouble!

I think you are in luck because they are very similar styles so I think they should go well together
I agree - although what they are putting you through is horrible, the dresses do look like they will go very well together

Yeah I had one making a big dal of things. They are just insecure they'll look bad. They forget it's not about them.

I also have to give you credit for the way you've handled this. I would have told them NO WAY are they going to be in my wedding after pulling this kind of stunt. They remind me of Cinderella's stepsisters.
I agree that the dresses will look fine next to each other, but I'm sorry you had to go through this mess!

I really think the dresses compliment eachother, and you won't have any problems with pics-BUT the nerve of these women to do this to you. I really can't blame you for being pi$$ed! If they didn't want to be in the wedding, they should have said so in the first place.

The styles are very similar so it will look fine...there are many things that could be worse than your BM dresses not being the same. I am sorry that your BMs are making this more of a headache for you than a time to enjoy. Just for get about them and focus on YOU and your FH!

I think it will be fine! Maybe you can alternate one cream, one burgundy walking down the aisle. Plus, I'm sure everyone will know the story by the time the wedding comes and just roll their eyes at them!

I totally agree! The dresses are very similar! What is with these b!tches?! You poor girl, I can't believe you even let them be in the BP at all after this! But I'm sure that had a lot to do with FH's input. You're a good person! And don't worry, the pictures will look fine cause you'll be in them!!
ps my FH says now that they bought the dresses tell them they're out cause you had a change of heart! lol he's ruthless! This post even got him fired up!
