Is it cheesey of me to....

make those little tank tops with the 'Bridesmaid', 'Maid of Honor', etc. ? I've seen them for so much money, but I know I could make them easily for super cheap, but I don't want to seem cheap! I just thought they would be cute as something extra for my girls.

I'll be honest. I made t-shirts for the Bridal Party....only 1 MOH, 1 BM 1 Best Man 1 GM one for me and FH (Bride & Groom)

They're for the rehearsal. I found that making them saved me a lot of money. Places want $30 for ONE T-shirt. It was much cheaper to make them....good luck....it's not cheesey, it's practical!

Ok, good! I was thinking that for the girls, I might put like the 'Bridesmaid' part on the back and their initial on the left side of the front. Something like that. All of us are in eachother's weddings next year, so I want to make all the girls who are getting married a bride one, too. Ok, cool, it will give me something to do

No!

I LOVE those shirts. My friend Amber gave us shirts like those for her wedding last year, and I wore my Bridesmaid shirt the other day!

I'm not even a Bridesmaid right now!

honestly, I don't know of many people in bridal parties who would appreciate such hard work. Maybe if the happen to by your FAMILY members, or VERY close friends.

From my own experience, only my 2 closest friends, and my cousin, appreciated all of my efforts. To everyone else, it was all just ho-hum

i think those are cute- i think making them is a great idea b/c your BM will probably only wear them once or twice so to spend alot of $$ wouldn't make sense. but i say if you can make them for cheap go for it- def. a cute touch!

I think its a cute idea. I'm thinking about doing the same thing. If you go awayu for your b-party or even the day before the wedding, you guys could all wear them.

I think it is a cute idea and I'm one of those who think that anything that is made with love, regardless of the money that it cost, is more meaningful. Things that are made by the person, are more meaningful and carry a more personal sentiment.

It's definitely a great idea, and I want to do that, but don't want to shell out $30pp for it. How are you guys making them? Iron on? And where will you get the shirts?

Re: Is it cheesey of me to....

I'm not sure yet how I am going to make them. I was going to go to the store and see what they have. I wanted to make them with rhinestones, so I don't know if fabric glue will hold up in the wash. I'm sure they have some kind of kit I can use. Target always has tanks and t-shirts on clearance or for really cheap, so I think I will go there for those. I'll let you know when I figure it out
