is it dumb to..

put photos out on the mantles of the RH during the wedding? I mean, its not like people are going to think its our house!!... but shoud I do it anyway? I didn't want to b/c its just an extra thing to carry. What do you girls think??

I've seem baby pics displayed at the seating card table at weddings b4...so I don't think it is dumb at all

I wouldn't - unless it's a memorial to those not there that day (grandparents, etc).

i think it would be a nice touch to personalize the room - some people put up a table at the reception with their pictures on it.
You could always bring the pictures a few days before so you dont have to carry them

I wouldn't. I don't think it would need it. If you really feel like you need something on the mantle, maybe small candle votives (with flower petals if you had some extra or not?). Something you could either just throw out or wouldn't be so cumbersome to carry.
I think it would look nice either way. If it's not something you were planning on doing, why stress now?

Nah I don't think it is. I think it would be a cute idea and I think that people would really like it! I wish I had a mantal to put pics on!

I think it is a nice idea. Of course, maybe that is because we did it! We had frames with wedding photos of our parents and grandparents on top of the grand piano at the RH.

yes, ive seen ppl put them on the seating card table.....thats a cute idea!!!

also i wouldnt put to many out though, bc if they are important to you (which im sure they are) you dont want to forget them and possible lose them!!!!

i would put someone in charge of them and then its one less thing YOU have to worry about!!!!

Im putting them out.. i have two mantels one in the entry way room thing.. and one near the dance floor.. i have a compulsive need to put things in empty spots haha
i am having the florist make some arrangments too for those spots so its not TOO many pics.. but still some

Our RH suggested doing that because there is a fireplace withe a big mantle, but it is directly behind where me and FH will be sitting, so in our room it seemed unnecessary. A nice touch, but we aren't going to do it.
