Is it just me, or am I being a spelling error 'junkie'!?!?!?

Why is it that every day, whenever I read posts, the word 'definitely' is ALWAYS spelled wrong, by more than 1 person?

I know I am being a PIA and a little anal too, but sheesh!

I guess it's just one of those words!

I'm such a geek that I sometimes use spell check and after I hit post...if I noticed I've spelled something wrong...I edit and correct!

I hate 'alot'...ugh!!! 2 words people!!! 2 words!!!

i spell 'definitely' wrong all the time - i just never noticed it. i think its because people type fast and they think that we know what they are trying to say. i see liek and becusae all the time, but it doesn't bother me

I do this ALLL the time!!! I have NEVER spelt that word right... even in HS!! I always used to get points off on essays!! Whenever I type it I always second guess myself!!! You would think I would have learned it by now... but for some reason that one word I ALWAYS have a problem with!!! Opps!!!

What people need to remember is that the word 'definitely' has the word 'FINITE' in it. That isn't very hard to remember.

Wow. I've been spelling definitely wrong my entire life! I've always spelled it 'definately' and nobody has ever corrected me. How sad

I wonder why it is that this thread is acceptable yet I seem to be the butt of jokes when it comes to noting improper grammar...??

If your sentence includes a statement about a question rather than a direct question, you really should use a period not a question mark.

Like this:

I am a horrible speller and that is one word that for the life of me i CAN NOT remember how to spell correctly...EVER!! Some sort of mental block I guess....
