Is it just me or is anyone else 'done' with the bar scene

My friend ( who is married) still parties every night with her girlfriends and she asks me everytime to come with her.

Maybe becuase its cold or maybe becuase Im trying to quit smoking-but Im just not into it and I say nah. But she keeps asking me and I feel badly. But I feel like sooo done with the bar scene. Id rather hang out at home. with hubby

I am mostly done, about once every 2-3 months I go out with my sister and friend for a few drinks and dance a little. We have a good time but I used to do this every weekend and I could never do that now.

I would rather actually DO something then stand around a crowded bar and drink though.

I agree with the cold reason for staying home.
I find that I want to stay home all winter and party all summer! I like to cuddle with FH and stay warm in the winter!

Between the ages of 16 and 21 I was out dancing 3 nights a week. I could go out all night, regardless of the season, not come home until the sun was up, and still go to school or work. Now the thought of being in a bar until 12 sounds like too much.

Although I will admit that ever since they banned smoking in bars in NYC, I have not minded going to them as much as I used to. Just don’t really feel like going out and drinking. I’ve become such a homebody…

I have a girls night out about once a month. I love it!!
But, there is no way that I would go out almost everynight!! I'm to damn tired!!

she really parties every night....geez.....not very mature if you ask me. We have maybe been a bar 5 times in the last year....we are not big party people.....we'd rather do it at home

i don't drink so i was never in the scene

but i have noticed a major decline in my desire to go out partying! it's so sad.

It's not just you-it's me, too. I am so done with the club/bar scene. It's hard to believe I reached this point...I was out with the girls just about every night of the week when I was single.

We still do a monthly girls night out, but we tend to go to restaurants or coffee places.

It's funny how years ago, we'd refuse to go into a club or bar if it was empty. Now we run from the crowds!

We've been done with the bar scene for a while now - we had our fill in our college years

Now when I want to hang out with my girlfriends, we go out to dinner or something.

I am definitely 'over it'!!!

I have a wedding to go to upstate in a few weeks (my cousin's... I'm a bridesmaid) and a few of our friends are looking forward to 'partying in our hotel room' after the wedding's over around 11:30pm. I'm like, 11:30?! Party?? I'll have been partying all day, it's BEDTIME at 11:30!!

I guess some people just grow out of the phase at different rates. I feel like I've been done for a long time!

We are both soooooo done. We were just talking about this the other night. We used to go out EVERY weekend and stay out all night and had the best of times. Now NEITHER of us ever want to go out. We just enjoy staying home together

I've been done for a loooooooooooong time! Once in a while is okay, but I much rather go to happy hour and get home at a decent hour! I enjoy staying home with hubby and having friends over, drinking, play a game and just chill out!

The bar scene wasnt really my scene until I actually got a little older.

I loved it for about 2 years...after that...HATED IT!

Now, I have fun if its a bunch of friends getting together to talk or for a b day or something but just the other night my dh was like...lets go to Gibneys for a drink...we went and omg...I felt soooo out of place! This bar is even an older crowd, but I hated watching all those desperate guys and girls trying to catch someone for that evening, people falling down drunk all over the place and the music was actually too loud! I feel old but I kinda like where I am at right now! I much rather people over for a drink or going to someone else's house. Seems like thats where I am right now.
