Is it just me or is anyone else 'done' with the bar scene

My friend ( who is married) still parties every night with her girlfriends and she asks me everytime to come with her.

Maybe becuase its cold or maybe becuase Im trying to quit smoking-but Im just not into it and I say nah. But she keeps asking me and I feel badly. But I feel like sooo done with the bar scene. Id rather hang out at home. with hubby

OMG me neither! We took my brother and his friends bowling for midnight madness on Saturday night and I went crazy when they started playing old freestyle cause it was the only thing I knew!

They were looking at me like I had 10 heads!

It's pretty much done for me, except for the occasional craving. Even back in my major partying days, I never liked clubs/dancing. Only bars. And I LOVED bars!

I am so done! I was done before I even made it to my 21st bday. Freshmen year at college I got all my partying in and I cringe at the thought of going out to the bars. I feel so old for 24!

Bot me and my husband are so over the bar scene. About six months before the wedding either together or with people from work or freinds we were at the bar at least twice a week. It was awful. I guess we wanted to get it out of our system. Now we can hardly stay up past 10:30 its so sad.

Even if I was into the bar scene, I simply couldn't stay up late enough to partake in it! I could live on 5 hours sleep and party every night .. now the only thing that keeps me up late at night is hopping on here .. or, er .. other things at home w/FH

Besides FH isn't a drinker at all .. and I much rather spend time at home with him having a drink, anyhow.

Every weekend I used to be out at the clubs with my friends. Our weekends used to start on wednesday though lol.
Malibu wednesday night
Industry's Thursday night
Sprats on the water Friday Night
Malibu Saturday night
Sprats on the water Sunday from 3pm on.

Summer of 1993 was a crazy summer for me....Now forget about it, im exhausted by 11pm or 12am when I used to be just getting ready to go out...Its sad. Last week Danielle and I went out for a late Dinner with her friends, a married couple and we ended up going back to their apartment. We all fell asleep....Sad. I dont ever want to go back to a club. It just doesnt interest me anymore. I hated the tight spaces, the crowds of people, the heat, the smoke...and all the big mucho guys that thought they were all that....

I am very done with it.. and I think my friends have slowed down as well. I just feel kinda weird especially if we go to a bar filled with college kids or a so called 'meat market bar'. I'm not looking anymore.. FW too care of all that! So.. it's kinda purposeless to me.

It's kinda like that Mastercard commercial....

We actually go out pretty often, but not too places many have described. We were never into 'clubs' or 'meat market type places' so that doesn't apply. I prefer going to places where we we can have dinner and then drinks at the bar after. I am not saying we stay out till 2am but it sounds like we still party it up more often then most of you!

We are 28 &29.... so we figure once the kids come the times of going out will be few and far between, so we might as well live it up a while we can!

Actually, there are few things I enjoy more than meeting a big group of friends at the bar for drinks.

i met my fh in a club and we go out together sometimes and we enjoy ourselves. but i think that we all grow out of it cause it kind of like

'You dont bring sand to a beach now do you '

I have what is there now I am having alot more fun.

I am still up for a party if there is a good excuse - i hardly go out but when i do i am ready to go! i dont like when half of the girls want to leave by 12 every time. I hate to say it but its always the woman who complain that their husbands are out too much... too late who want to go home. I say give them a taste of their own medicine once in a while!

I have been going out to bars and clubs since i was 15 - back in the good old pre Guilliani days ..... I have no need to go out every weekend anymore.

My friends and I are sooo sick of the bar scene. When we go out it's usually dinner and a few drinks. I don't party like I used to!

I actually enjoy going out still but it is more mellow. FH has never been into the club scene anyway, but he does like to drink!! I call it my weekend reward!! The only times I don't go out as often is during crappy weather like this. One thing I do dispise now: THE CROWDS!!! I really don't know how I did it back in the day when you could barely move or get a drink without pushing 20 people over!! I so much prefer to be at a quiet less 'happening' place and just enjoy myself.

I am so done w/ that. FH is too, but his friends and brothers are younger than him and they are not. So sometimes he still goes out and when he comes home tells me how boring/stupid/annoying it was. IMO he's to nice to his stupid brothers. He's getting better at saying no to them now that we are engaged.

I'm done with it. I mean don't get me wrong I like to go out every now and then with our friends and have some drinks. I probably go out once a month for people's birthdays. But it's been a long time since I've called up my friends and made a plan for a Satuday night to go to a bar or club.

I never was big on the bar scene at all, but DH was. He still goes out from time to time. He is outgrowing it finally, which is nice, because I never really liked it.
