To not meet the dj when booking? We went to meet with a dj last night. We met the sales associate, I asked if they do showcases, she says no. How are you suppose to know if the dj is any good? One of FH friends who is also a dj reccomended him but still. What has been your experience meeting with DJs? Do you normally meet the DJ or the sales assoc?
We met with the owner of the compnay and even though I basically said from the beginning that they were our choice (FH works with one of the DJs), he showed me video of some weddings they did and stuff. So I think that it's not unreasonable to want to see them in action.
I met the owner and the DJ and they showed us of video with the DJ in it and they also do showcases... IMO, I wouldnt book unless I see something!

I would want to meet with them. Even if they cant show you something like at a showcase they might have a video?
When my MOH was looking for a DJ our other BF went along with us to look at the company.
So we get there and he shows us a video... but that wasnt enough for my friend (the other BM) and I. We MADE the DJ turn on the music and get a mic and introduce us as he would at the wedding. So we are strutting through the hallway, music is ON and the DJ is doing intros. The receptionist didnt find it funny at all. But we sure did.... we definitely embarrassed the bride but it was sooooooooooooo funny.
She booked with him LOL
And 2 years passed..... finally her wedding day... as soon as he saw us he remembered and was like OMG THIS is going to be a fun wedding.
LOL... sorry I just totally went into story time.
