OK, this seems pretty basic, but I was just wondering if for some reason this is a really busy time of year or if there is some other reason this particular vendor who shall remain nameless is not returning my calls....

Hi Sweetie! I feel like it depends on length of time that elapsed between your call and this message. Keep in mind today is Thursday and many vendors are starting to be busy with weddings that they have this weekend, which, as a bride I'm like- great do what you have to do. These would include photographers, places, and florists, etc... Best days you will probably get calls are on Tuesdays or Wednesdays.

OK then- just kidding. Did you mention your date in the message on the vm? Maybe they are just booked for Sept date?

That is rude! Is it a vendor you've booked? If so, I would call again and leave quite a message! If it is not a vendor you've already booked I would take it as a sign of his lack of professionalism and move on!

some vendors just ****. ive had two experiences like that .. had to leave multiple messages and never got calls back.
hey, if they cant return a call over a period of 3 weeks, they definitely don't deserve my business.

3 weeks? Have you already booked with this vendor? If not, I'd say forget him/her and find someone else. That could be an indication of future service.

once they have your money....most likely you will be tracking them down. Happened to me with one of my vendors.

I don't know what vendor you are talking about but I have been trying to get Jennifer from Fairytale Makovers since over a week ago she called me on Monday but I missed her call - I've called and e-mailed her since then and nothing yet.

I called a particular florist who is very popular on this board. . . .several times!! I haven't received a response as well. I consider it a blessing in disguise and I'm moving on.

It's not nice but it happened to me recently--don't waste your money on such people!

i'm really suprised that someone wouldn't call you back. what kind of customer service is that? it's just as bad as the vendors that call non-stop after you've repeatedly told them you are not interested!!!

I would probably call them like on a tuesday, that is probably your best day with vendors schedules

Re: is it normal for a vendor not to call you back?
This is a busy wedding season but there is NO reason for a vendor not to call you back - That is completely rude and unprofessional. If they don't provide you with a legitimate excuse, I'd say it is totally unacceptable.
