If i ask my sister to wear her hair differently then mine for the wedding? FYI, we are identical twins. My mom said no that it's crossing the line into bridezilla territory.

Hell yes.... take that from another Identical twin.... although I have to say I lucked out because my twin's hair is so much shorter than mine.
