Is it ok to have black bridesmaid dresses?

Hi, ladies,

Help me out here. I've been searching high and low for a simple yet elegant dress for my girls to wear without them having to go crazy at a bridal shop. I finally found one that will save them alot of money and it looks really nice plus it will flatter every figure. Only problem-it only comes in black. Which frankly I don't mind-everyone looks and feels good in black and they won't have to have shoes dyed :)

It's an afternoon wedding but black is still ok for them to wear, right?

I was in a wedding party that wore black bridesmaids dresses and we all carried red roses. It was very elegant. I think it's a good idea.

my MOH`s mom got married during the day a few years ago and her bridal party was in black, i don`t think there really are rules anymore. it`s more up to you rather then what people used to expect ya know

Absolutely! My girls are wearing black j.crew dresses...so not only can they wear them again, they don't need altering because they just ordered the size they normally wear.

Absolutely go for it...black ALWAYS looks clssy. A friend of mine is getting married. She hs black BM dresses with a hot pink Sash and flowers...it will look dynamite. I also love black and red...hmm yoiure making me want to use black too!

Anything goes now...if you are ok with it that is all that matters. I personally love black and if I were in your bridal party I would love you to death because it would definitly be a dress I could use again!!!!

i have a friend that did the same (black with HOT PICK flowers) and another that wore black with the SOFTEST shade of baby pink.....both were absolutely GOOOOOORGOUS!!!!!
