Is it possible to have 11am church- 12pm reception?!?
Original post by GettinHutched
Am I crazy in trying to make this happen?
The earliest wedding at my church on a Saturday is 11am (no communion so it's shorter). The time available for cocktail hour at CLM is 12pm. Am I crazy to try to make this work? I am very much against taking pics before the church- I would HATE to see him before it. I want that moment down the aisle more than anything.
If we cut the receiving line and went straight there, would it work?
Thank you all!!!

It could work...my MOH got married 2 years ago at the Milleridge Cottage for an 11:00am ceromony, 12noon cocktail Hr., granted the BM were up VERY EARLY. The hair person came to her house at 5:30am, CRAZY! We were out of the house by 9:00am. She also saw her FI beforehand though.

We did an 11am church and a 12:30pm cocktail hr and we only got to go to maybe 5 minutes of the cocktail hour. Keep in mind our church was about 20 minutes from the reception hall so that had to be factured in. We also did not see each other before the ceremony to take pictures.

Thats really soon.... i don't see you having much time for pictures in between even if the church was next door!

Why don't you just get married at CLM? Aren't there some priests who will perform ceremonies outside of the church?
Brett is all for having the wedding at the hall...in some ways I like the idea, in others I don't. I worry I'll regret not having it at a church...but that could be my mom talking!! I can't stand having my mother and two sisters plan my wedding for me!!!!!!!
I called Fox Hollow but never heard back....was hoping I'd know their availability by now.
