I don't think it is We are trying to decide if we want to do a clam bake at home or do a Luncheon somewhere. Our rehersal is at noon on 9/14/08

Nope. We are having it at my aunts. We have so many OOT guests so everyone invited to the wedding can also come to the RD if they want. My aunt has a huge pool and house and we are having a BBQ. I would rather that then go to a restaurant.

We were actually planning ours for our house too- assuming that we close on time- I think it will be more fun- but we also cant afford to spend anymore

I don't think it's tacky at all! I wish we could do it at FH's house because it would save us a ton of $$.

Not at all, the last RD I went to was in the backyard at the brides parents house. Some of the food was catered and some prepared...it added a neice personal touch... go for it!

Re: Is it tacky...

I think it's so fun! I really had wanted to do that but we live with FH's dad and his stepmom so having his mom and bf here was kinda a weird feeling. So since the RH said we didn't need one, we decided to forgo it. We'll do a run-thru in the backyard. I think it's much more personal that way too. Especially with a large bp its easier/cheaper to do it at home. You could even do a BBQ! Good luck!
