is it tacky to add the registration cards

Original post by Yofei18

Hi All,

is it tacky to add the registration cards with our engagement invitations?
I mean I don't see why not, I rather people already know than have to call me. I'm spending so much money on the invitations and postage, why not just add it?

Thank you all for your Responses, really do appreciate it.
The registrations cards are staying out of the invitations.

I wouldn't. An e-party is't a request for gifts. (Though you may want to have a family member put the word out on where you're registered). You can, however, use registration cards for your shower.

yeah, it's supposed to be word of mouth. We didn't register before our e-party and most people gave us money or gift cards.

i dont think you should be expecting gifts for you engagement party. The party is simply to inform your family and friends of your engagement. You should NOT expect gifts at all.

If your guest choose to give monetary gifts, then you accept, but dont do a registry. Your just implying that you want gifts.

You should expect gifts at the the bridal shower

I was just about to write almost this exact same thing. You don't throw an e-party to get gifts. Gifts shouldn't be expected either.
