we registered a few months after we got engaged. Alot of people were asking our parents waht to get us so we went and registered for basic kitchen items. We keep adding litte bits at a time. Waiting to do things like towels ad sheets etc until we know where we will be lving.

i already did mine...im always editing it though. adding things i forgot or removing things i no longer like.

I registered for my November wedding in around January/February. People wanted to get us engagement gifts (we didn't have a party) and kept asking us so we started ours so they had something to work off of.

ETA: Some stuff is very seasonal (linens, bedding, etc) so I would hold off on that because if you do it too soon it might be discontinued by the time your shower comes along.

I already started mine..For now its easy to pick out appliances for the kitchen and bath without having an actual house..the more detailed stuff like bedding..i am waiting until we find a house..

i heard it's recommended to register 6-8 months before...we just registered last weekend and we're getting married the same weekend as you...i think any time from this point on is fine.
