is it true that if you send an invite to the President of the US...

If yours is to be a Roman Catholic wedding, you could send an invitation to the Pope. Discuss this with your priest, who will help with the arrangements. You'll be sent a papal blessing, which would surely be one of the highlights of your wedding day mementos.

You have to request a formal Papal Blessing. I don't believe he responds to invitations. To request a formal blessing, you need to get the proper paperwork from your parish and have your priest verify that you are both Catholics and/or that the marriage will be recognized by the Church. You then send in the paperwork to the Vatican with a $40.00 donation. You will receive a Papal Blessing on parchment paper from the Vatican with your names and the date of the marriage. The Pope blesses the parchments once a month and it is sent to you in time for your wedding.

If you are an early 2007 wedding i would get on this ASAP. they ask you to allow a few months for it to be processed and to get back to you.

I think this is one of my old posts.... yes, the above is true. it must be formally requested and your priest has to sign paperwork that is then forwarded to the Vatican.... I would go on the Diocese website... there is a link with more information on this under the Chancery's Office link.... www.drvc.org

GREEEAAAT MOVIE!!!!!!

One of my friends works for UPS out east and Billy Joel is on is Route....he delivers to him usually every week so i'm going to have him get me Billy's address (thats right, we're on a first name basis )... PLUS..... Billy is a frequent visitor of the Crescent so I'm hoping he's just in the mood for their food that night!!

We're also inviting the president.....just because hell...it's THE PRESIDENT!!

My sister has this dream that her friend that has an in with the Yankees can get a Yankee at our wedding...honestly, I wouldn't want it. I'd be too freaked out!!! They're like GODS to me and my day wouldn't be about my wedding, it would be about them! ha ha ha!
