to pay for a day of coordinator? FH thinks we should save the money but I think it may be worth it. What are your honest opinions?

it really depends how comfortable you think your gonna feel day of... and if you are a planner..
if your a planner, no....your day is gonna move regardless if someone is directing it...
coridnator will ensure its going the way you would like it...
we had one and it was the bestest things we did (well, we won via LIW)

Re: Is it worth it...
ok-- well, I was starting to get very overwhelmed and I fetl like I needed someone. I hired my coordinator 3 months before the wedding.
I felt I needed someone to 'manage' my bridal party that day, and leading up to the wedding- she has been helpful-- even just to have a professional's ear. As of Monday- I am handing everything off to her. I like that I do not need to worry about jack shite that day... so if that will help to ease your mind-- go for it.
With a week to go- has she saved me some stress- uh, no. It is unavoidable and there are just some things you need to do yourself and cannot hand off to someone. But she has been able to get things done for me that I would not know where to look and investigated the best price for things that were after thoughts- like outdoor heaters and table linens.
The best part-- bringing her to final vendor meetings with me-- I no longer have to take notes!

Thank you for your feedback. This is the first thing FH & I have not agreed on. Since I work full time and go to school, the last month has been SO overwhelming & I think it may be nice. I'll go for some consultations & think it over. As always, I really appreciate your thoughts!

Re: Is it worth it...
you;re welcome-- I needed to talk FH into it too-- also-- they come with an assistant.. which I wanted to hire a bridal dresser anyway- I want someone to help me get into the dress, etc. so, it was like two things for the price of one.

Personally, yes, I think that it is worth it. At this point I would pretty much pay anything for someone else to worry for me on my wedding day. I want to be able to enjoy that day as much as possible and knowing that someone else will take care of those last minute things will help me to relax and enjoy my wedding.
BTW-My FH also thinks that it is a big waste of money.

Who are you using - if you don't mind sharing - and how did you pick them over someone else??
