That i'm booking a DOC? I really want one and feel that I will need one. I told him about it and he said its a waist of money. I want to enjoy my day after all of this planning and feel that my cell phone will be ringing off the hook if i dont have help. I dont want to depend on anyone in my family becasue i want them to enjoy the day also. I made an appointment for this sunday becasue I knew my FH will be in FL. If I like her I want to book her on the spot and not tell him. I know i will hear about it later when he sees this strange woman giving orders but do you think he will really argue with me on the day of our wedding?

I was going to do the same thing, just get one and tell him later. But I decided to tell him and he actually wanted to come with me to meet potential DOC's. But his reason for going was to show me that it was a waste of money, but with the second DOC meeting he came around and realized that it was a good idea for me to have one. We ended up booking her on the spot because we liked her and she was offering great prices.

IMO, I don't think you should book someone without telling him. Why don't you ask him to go with you to the appointment and see what the DOC is all about. Don't drop anything on him last minute; I don't think you would like if he did that to you.

you should talk with your FH about it. no matter what this wedding is the start of your life together & you don't really want to start off by not talking to him about something as simple as a DOC.
