Is it wrong...UPDATE

Re: Is it wrong...

My parents are paying for most of our wedding but we are having the RSVPs sent to my house in Ohio or else they would be sent to Florida where my parents are. They are fine with that though

I know that is what I wanted, I got voted out though b/c everyone is afraid that I will lose them but they are right, I prolly will

My mom is insistent that she get the RSVPs since they're hosting - I may have to stop by everyday to chek 4 rsvps.

Re: Is it wrong...

My parents are putting in money for the wedding but we are paying for the rest, so it's about half and half. I just told my parents that I addressed the envelopes to me (I live at home anyway) but I wanted them in my name b/c my parents are kind of psychotic about me opening 'their' mail. So to save myelf the hassle of arguing with them I addressed the RSVP's to myself.

I don't think its wrong, they should understand that you want the excitement of stalking the mailbox and opening your responses. You should just explain it to them and hopefully they'll understand.

I don't think that you are wrong...It's very exciting seeing them come to your own house!!!

I don't think you're wrong for wanting the rsvp's to go to you! I'm in the same boat. Both of our parents are paying for the wedding, but we're going to have the rsvp's addressed to us. It makes things easier on everyone!

I don't blame you, we want them coming to our home. Glad your mom sees it your way.
