Is my dress simple?

FMIL told our florist my dress was simple...I didn't really think it was...it has loads of beadwork and though it doesn't show up in pics, there are beads on the skirt as well.

working on uploading the pics of me...it was too big.

try not to let her choice of words get in the way of absolutely loving your dress! my fmil refers to my dress as 'underwear', why i don't know, i guess bc its strapless and has a corset back. but, i try my hardest to ignore her lovely comments :) ~lacey

Sorry... I have to laugh at that one... 'underwear' because it's strapless with a corset back. Maybe she thinks you are coming right off 'Titanic'?

i think simple is when the dress is plain with no beading or anything...I like your dress...very elegant and classy!!

IMO simple is a good thing when it comes to wedding dresses - to me, it means it's classic and you won't be looking at pics 20 years from now saying, 'what was I thinking?!'
So, next time she refers to your gown as 'simple', say, 'thank you, but I actually prefer the term 'classic'.

I don't think your dress is simple at all!! I actually saw it in a magazine and thought it was gorgeous... I wouldn't take what your FMIL says to heart. It's not worth the aggrevation!!
