I guess it's ok, I mean u do have to approve them regardless. What I did was chose 2 different styles and ask my BM to choose 1, that way I was happy and they were too.

So, to avoid any drama, (which is brewing), I decided that I would go shopping for bridesmaid dresses alone and select what I want.

Is it weird to make an appointment to try bridesmaid dresses on when you are the bride?

I'm ALL for that! I have eight girls and the first time I went I went with four of them. They weren't too bad, but just TOO many opinions. The second time I took myself and my sister(MOH) and we chose the dress. Success without drama.

No I did this also I wound up with 3 I liked and then went the next day with 2 girls so that they could see which of the 3 looked best on all 3 of us. I think it is a smart idea if you have friends that will tell you straight up that they think something is fugly!!! I went alone first to take my time and make it a peaceful experience!!!!!!!!

i went with 6 out of 8--- but i picked the top 2 i liked that i really didnt have a preference on and they decided from there--- i def could see how there could be drama though

I took my FH so we could decide together which color we liked best...I don't think it is weird to go with your bridesmaids but second time around, you may want to bring a couple to try on the dresses that you've narrowed it down to

I agree. I think it's totally fine to go alone. We won't be ordering my bridesmaid dresses for a few months but I already went to the salon with just my future mother-in-law to see the dresses in person and make sure I like the color.

I picked out 4 styles that the girls can choose from so i'm planning on taking them all back with me (i have 7 girls) sometime in January so they can try the dresses on and make their choices before we order
