This is for all of the Elizabeth's out there. if you're a Liz, do you hate being called Beth and vice versa, or do you rather hate it when people use your full name?
I used to hate being called Jenny (too girly) but then a boyfriend called me that and it stuck with some friends for awhile. I have nther nickname most people from HS call me, and that'll probably stick forever. I like being called my full name, but I also like ebing called Jenn, because I feel like it means the person considers me a friend or something..I know it's weird. Meanwhile my closest friends either call me my nickname or my full name. My real clsoe friends don't really call me 'jenn' and I HATE it when Fh does for some odd reason

My nickname now with my friends is Heidla. I am fine with it. Surprisingly, my family nickname(Diddle, like Hi-Diddly Dee) never bothered me. Now, I can't stand being called 'Heidi Ho' or when people insist on saying 'Heidi, Heidi' !!!! Yeah your the first person to think of that one!!!!

well my name is christina so when i was younger i always had christine's in my classes. i get called christine all the time or chris or chrissy which i hate for myself. but pretty much i answer to any of those even if i hate the nickname.
and i know another nickname for liz aka monkeyluv!!!! but i cant tell you because i think she knows mine too!!!!

I hate when people call my daughter Jules Her name is Juliet not Jules even Julie is fine but not Jules it really annoys me
oh and when people try and call my other daughter Kay I always say dont answer because your name is Kayleigh not Kay

My name is Suzanne - I don't mind Suz and can tolerate Sue, but I HATE when people call me Susan. It is a completely different name!
Oh and Suzy, Suzy-Q or Susanna (unless sung in the tune of O-Susanna) I can tolerate, but don't really like.

That's cute! I have a few freinds who I call by there last names. Some just work for that. Like Milo & Kimball. I HATED when peopelc all me my my last name ( maiden) DH goes by a variation of his last name , which people at work said they would call me, but don't.
I don't mind it, but I always think of it as DH's name.

I do hate the Elizabeth. My parents chose Elizabeth so I would have nickname options. I don't get Liz much (I'm a Beth).
My kindergarten teacher made me write my full name Elizabeth on everything. I hated that.
My birth certificate says Kim...not Kimberly. My mother said because everyone will always call you Kim...so when you get to Kindergarden, you won't have to spell out Kimberly if nobody is going to call you that

I can't stand to be called 'Cher' or 'Cheri' - I didn't like my name growing up (Cheryl) but I've gotten used to it and actually answer to it most of the time. Most of those who know me well either call me by my last name or by a family nickname.

Yes... See, my name is Debbie and is the same on my birth certificate so, people tend to think that Debbie is my nickname and refer to me as Debra or Deborah.
They also like to change my last name on me by adding vowels to it. I dont know why. That will change once I take FH's last name.
I don't think I knew until LIW that you were just a Debbie! And you last name is so easy! Why would anyone put vowels? and where?
Really? I guess it is common to think the other way. No biggie! I dont hate it when people do it...i just correct them. As for the last name, I think its because I am Spanish and it dosent sound like a spanish last name so.......... they MAKE it sound like one. Ex: Camps-Add an 'o'..Campos. Its funny! Hey, even when in elem school, kids would use my name and fit into the Mickey Mouse them song.. D-e-b....b-i-e....Camps...Debbie Camps
