Is there any negative issues, with changing your last name
FH mentioned, that getting married and changing your last name, can be so much trouble. I don't know if he is over reacting.
He mentioned, that his car insurance status changes, my credit card would get screwd up...
I think, he is over reacting? Is there anything, that I am not aware of?

He is over-reacting - it is a bit of a pain in the arse, but not hard at all - I'm still changing credit cards - which only takes a phone call. I did Social Security and DMV - it was very easy. I also did my bank - which was easy also. Don't stress about it - its not that big a deal!

Sure his car insurance status changes - it goes DOWN! Usually married insurance people get a discount. But, you can always keep your policies separate for now if you want.
Your CC won't get screwed up at all - you're just calling to change your name. All your other info that is associated with you (like your SS #) remains the same so your credit history remains the same.
