This will sound a little crazy but what the hell its been a LONG day...
Blot the lipstick so its not gooey.
Bring a shower cap! instead of wearing it back on your head, slip it on to cover your pretty made up face. Its only for a few seconds so it should be do-able. Get the dress on and poof, no smudgies. Same strategy for dress removal!
Of course if you STEP into the dress this whole post should be ignored, just be super duper careful and DONT TOUCH YOUR FACE once the dress is on...
