Is this a crazy idea?
As some of you may know, I live and work in NJ, but getting married on LI of course.
I'm finishing up my first year teaching music at a school in NJ....and I would give anything to see some students at my ceremony. I know the chance of that is pretty slim due to the distance...but I've already spread the word to some of the kids. Some are bound to have friends/family on Long Island and might have other reasons to be in the area. Naturally they'll forget over time since it's not til August...and I told them if they wanted more info, to have their parents email me.
Well....I came up with an idea. We have a school newsletter that goes out every week to the parents. Would I be crazy to post something like this?

Students and Parents,
As some of you may already know, I'm getting married
this summer on Saturday, August 4th! Unfortunately it
is at an out of town location- TOWN (Long
Island), NY to be exact. I adore my students and it
makes me sad that I will most likely not have any of
them present at my wedding ceremony. I would still
love to extend an invitation to you, especially if you
happen to be in the area or have family and friends
nearby.
Here's the basic information:
Saturday August 4th, time
Church
Address
City, State
If you have any questions, feel free to email me at
--------. It would mean the world to me
to share my day with you!

Or should I be more creative and write a poem? I'm terrible at that stuff!
Is this really nuts? Am I embarrassing myself? Be honest!!![]()
