Seems about right to me. One of my friends spent about 2k on her invites/rsvp stuff (and she had less than 175 invites)and her programs.
And they weren't that fancy. Just sayin'.

Personally I think its crazy to spend that much on what comes down to paper basically...but that price seems average. It is possible to DIY or buy discount and spend MUCH less, but if a formal, professionally done invite is important to you, then 600-1000 is average.

Holy Moly....I almost fell off the chair lol My invites were under 200.00.( 100 invites with 2 colors and 2 icons, colored inner envelopes, outer envelope, response card, response card envelope with return address printed and reception card)
I cant imagine spending that much money on a piece of paper that gets thrown in the garbage but that's just me.

It seems a lil high. I would def. shop around. I got some high quotes and found an amazing vendor who was reasonable. I spent a lil more then I wanted but it was still a pretty good price. Personally I wanted something nice but nothing that was going to break the bank. People throw out the invitation once the wedding is over LOL

Do you even read most of the posts on this forum? People spend a ridiculous amount of money on things they don't need at all! Or just over spend on things they can get for much cheaper, for no other reason then just because.

Seems very reasonable. Just make sure that you factor in the extra postage needed plus raised items such as rhinstones can getmangled in the mail!

It is very easy to get carried away with all the wedding stuff they have out there. We have other priorities (a child) so we don't have the luxury to overspend. We would rather use the money to take her to places or for her to do an extracurricular activity. However everyone can chose how they want to spend their money.

It's a bit harsh of a comment! Who are you to judge what other people need and don't need. I spent $700 on my invites. Is that too ridiculous for you??

I think that's a really good price! I'm paying $1025 for 125 invites. I personally think that invites are one of the most important things for a wedding. People are going to have this 'piece of paper' for about three months so I wanted to make sure that they were absolutely gorgeous. Also, people do notice the difference between invites that cost $200 vs. $700...at least I do!!
