Thank you everyone for voting. I agree that wedding invitations are the first impression people get of your wedding. If you can afford it go for it, if not then it is fine also. My grandmother actually makes a shadow box for everyone in the families wedding with their invitation, therefore, invitations were a little important to me; I didn't want to stare of something I wasn't 100% happy with for the rest of my life. If anyone would like to FM me I will be more then happy to share where I am getting them from.

I think that's a really good price! I'm paying $1025 for 125 invites. I personally think that invites are one of the most important things for a wedding. People are going to have this 'piece of paper' for about three months so I wanted to make sure that they were absolutely gorgeous. Also, people do notice the difference between invites that cost $200 vs. $700...at least I do!!

Everyone told me that my 200.00 invites were beautiful and I loved them. What most people remember from a wedding is the food and music. Again to each its own. If you have that money to spend on invites then more power to you. I see that money and think wow thats alot of diapers and wipes I can buy lol My priorities are a little different since we have a family already.

That's a fair price for that amount of invites & what you're getting.
Girls, we should not be judging eachother - everyone has their own priorities & spends their money how they want - if it's within budget and you can afford it, who is anyone to tell you different?
I personally think invitations are important& yes, there are invitations out there that are not expensive and still look good but I was happy with my invitations company and the service i got so I did not mind paying over $700 for my invitations. I got a lot of compliments on them & I know they will look great in photos. I received invites before & the quality does show - not saying all are same but just in my experience.

Go with what makes you happy, it's YOUR wedding - there will always be people that have 100 & 1 comments to make & you cannot please everyone but it's easier said when it's not your money to spend

I was not trying to insult anyone's invites. I'm sure yours are beautiful no matter how much you pay. I just personally feel like that there is a reason why some invites cost more than others. I just felt that some were judging because of the amount of money I was going to pay for my invites. I too have my own priorities but I think that invites are very important. I believe it sets the tone for your wedding.

My sister is spending slightly less for the exact same amount of invites, but they are also less embellished, so that seems right to me.
