Is this a stupid idea? Wanting pics of wedding details.

You know what I want to do? I want to ask a couple of my friends who will attend the wedding to try to take pictures of the wedding details...wedding pew decorations, centerpieces, table numbers, placecard table, pics of the way the table looked etc....

I am putting so much work into these little details I want to remember and see how everything looked! A lot of the professional pics I have seen focus on the people or the items in the ceremony like Bo-Ks, rings and invitations, but shoot I am busting my butt on the reception details too!! I wouldn't want my photogs focusing on the centerpiece instead of my and DH, but I figure since my friends are sitting at the table, they wouldn't mind? Is this stupid?

FH thinks I am a freak by the way, but I would just hate the have the end of the wedding and then realize that I don't have any good pics of the centerpieces or some else.

Of course this isn't a stupid idea! That's why we decided to hire a second, photojournalistic photographer. We didn't have a huge wedding (110 people) but we wanted a second photographer that would focus on the little details that I wanted to remember. I don't have my proofs yet, but I still feel this was totally worth it.

I think that's a great idea almost date twin!!!! We dont want to do table cameras, but we are going to give a few to key people to take pics of certain things that we want to make sure we have!

My sister did this b/c she knew all of the things that I was working on or planning.

And actually, Duet captured a lot of things that I didn't even tell them to take.

My photographer took pictures of all of the details - programs, rings, cry packs, menus, placecards....everything. I don't think it is silly to want pictures of those details at all!

I actually worte all those htings down for the photographer to take pics of.

It's a wonderful idea!!!!! Just make sure that someone you ask to do this actually does it and they take GOOD photos!

100% do it!!! That's one of the things I'm starting to regret because I have don't have any pictures of this stuff I didn't ask anyone just assumed that someone would do it and they didn't!!!! So I only have very few pics of the details.

I had never thought of this but my photographer (Duet) did! They took pics of everything from the food at the cocktail hour, the vienese hour, the ice sculptures and fruit and my menus, my invitation, favors, place settings etc. They captured absoultely everything and I thank god! I think it's a great idea to have those things photographed. Trust me, the day after your wedding you'll forget what the choclate fountain looked like and you will appreciate the picture of it!!!
