Definately a scam, so don't do it. There are many threads about this. Be aware.

I received this call too and went to the cookware demo and did receive the hotel and gift certificate.

Yes, they want you to buy the cookware line which is REALLY expensive but they do not pressure you into buying.

You do receive a hotel voucher but must pay for your own airfare which to me is not a bad deal since hotels can run a lot of money.

The gift certificate is vaild to an online store they have. We haven't bought anything from there yet but plan to do so.

Personally, I have no problem sitting through a 2 hour demo if they're going to give me free stuff!

I got that exact same call and so did a fellow bride friend... It's a scam...

I got the same thing and we had to sit through this whole cookware sales pitch (no food). They wanted us to buy it but we didn't and we still have the certificate for the free vacation but I don't really know if it's worth anything or if the place is even worth going to!

You're probably better off just ignoring it.

Don't do it! I went to sit through the 2 hour presentation to get the free vacation and a $500 gift card to some website online... the presentation was impressive, but the cook ware is sooo fricken expensive... the vacation s**ks... it's limited... it's only hotel stay so you have to pay for your own air fair... and you can't really pick the hotel... and the gift card is even more ridiculous! You have to pay for the shipping of anything you get and the shipping is basically the cost of the product! Don't waste your time! My FH wanted to kill me after I dragged him there!

I went to the bridal extravaganza at the Hunt Hilton and entered a lot of things, even though I knew it wasn't worth it, then I got the call. It was reverse however, I didn't want to go, FH was the one that was like, oooooh lets go, we can get a free trip. I tried to convince him that since he doesn't get home until 7am and wouldn't get any sleep, plus he needed to work that night as well he just wouldn't listen. Thats how they wrap people in!

I say throught the WHOLE thing as well and told them, i'm the bride, people are supposed to buy ME gifts I wouldn't spend that much money given we would get something similar as a gift (though i swear for me its not about gifts at all). We did get lemon chicken and vegetables which were way too salty. Luckily we were only there for an hour

It is a scam! They get numerous couples together in a conference room and try to sell all of you either very expensive cookware, china or stemware. Don't bother to attend.
