is this bad? registry question...

ok heres the thing..BB&B opened up near me and so did pier one..fh and i started to register at fortunoff..im not done yet but i dont think fortunoff is worth it now for us..my stepmother bought these plates for us that i thought i liked from fortunoff but now i saw them in person and dont like them as much..i feel bad because they were on sale..another thing is my bridal shower prob wont be for another like 3 months..why she went and bought them is beyond me..im glad she told me about them because i wasnt sure about them in the first place..i went to fortunoff and they said i could return them..but when i was there i wasnt really impressed with the store..to be honest i like jcpennys better..would it be ok to change my registry? do i just not tell people i was registered there?we spent a whole day there and really have nothing on my registry..would it be ok to register at jcpenny, pier one,and BB&B..sorry so long.need help

I dont think its bad at all. Your wedding isnt for about 6 months so they probably wont be buying the gifts yet?

I decided I didnt care for pier 1 and checked my registry, nothing was bought from them yet, so I deleted it.

I wanted people to have a choice, so I registered at Macys, Pennys, Home Depot and BB&B.

you must live near me! I am right down the road from the new B,B&B and LOVE IT! I can't believe they even have drug store items there. And their china and crystal dept. is nice too.

I am regsitered at both B,B&B and Fortunoff. Fortunoff does have a larger selection of home stuff, but B,B&B is nationwide and offers 20% coupons, which is nice.

we also registered at a few places too. I like fortunoff, but it is also hard for people to get there.. it's far for a lot of people. I registered at BB&B-love it! We also did fortunoff, not many things though, and Kohls... I think it is good to give people a selection....

good luck!

I work in Sayville but live in Patchogue on Canaan Lake (between Waverly & North Ocean, JUST North of Sunrise.

I wanted a grill and lawn mower from Home Depot. I just think Home Depot has things we really NEED. At Pennys and Macys etc I bought a tomato slicer, egg slicer, meat thermometer LOL Boring stuff I need. I really didnt register for any wants.

Oh I did register for a $75 swing set for my son. I just KNOW my inlaws would love to get it for him.

I live near all of you also. I live in Bohemia but we just bought a house in Commack, so I am moving soon. The new BBB is great. I have not been to the new Pier One yet but I have never been a Pier One fan.

To answer your question, register where you want and do not worry about changing the place.

Did the rest of you find that it was a pain to go see wedding vendors coming from this area? I was considering so many vendors that were in Nassau but it was such a big production to make the time to get there.

I think it's fine. I would also be honest about the dishes. I don't think she'd be offended. It's not as if you don't like something she picked out. I would just tell her, that you found dishes you like so much more. If anything she'd probably be happy to return the Fortunoffs ones and get you what you really want.
Also she probably got them so quickly b/c she was excited. I'm not getting married for another year, but my mom is so excited she's been buying me things, looking at dresses, etc.

There is no need to let anyone know you ever registered at Fortunoffs

I work in the Sayville School district this year. Next year I think I will be home and pregnant. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I registered at 4 places. I was worried it would look bad, but everyone kept saying at the shower 'Thank you for giving us so much variety!' I think in this day and age, where half the people just click away on the internet to buy gifts, it is ok to give more choices.
