ok so after reading the QOTD it got me thinking - everyone knows my dad died 5 year ago - well i kept the shirt he died in (i know crazy) and ive never washed it because it smelled like him (i know even more crazy im not normally like that but i couldnt bring myself to wash it) i know i have it somewhere would it be morbid to sew a piece of that onto the inside of my dress or in my flowers as my something old????? im really not like this normally like i said but i dont know what made me keep it let alone not wash it

i don't think it is - it's another way of honoring your dad.

I think it's a great idea, and I'm sure he's honored that you want to do that.
What about having a handkerchief made out of it? You could put it inside your gown, but you can then also have it for afterwards and maybe frame it or put it in a special box. Just an idea.

I don't think having your dad's shirt sewn in is morbid. I think that because it is the shirt he died in makes it a little bit morbid.

sorry i think its very morbid.
i would cut a piece of his FAvORITE shirt...not a shirt he died in. maybe im just too sensitive? but weddings are HAPPY times...so i would use a shirt he loved, not the 1 he died in.

I dont think it's morbid at all, to tell you the truth I would do the same. My dad means everything so I think its just perfect. Is keeping him close to you on your day special day. You should definitely do it.

it's not morbid at all.. it's the last thing you have from him..
i think its a great idea to maybe sew a piece into your dress or something.. it will be your own secret way of having him with you all day

I personally would not do that but if it would make you happy to incorporate the shirt into your wedding I think you should
