Is this kinda rude- or was I being sensitive...(long-ish)

I received this email from a DJ that had contacted me through an ad I posted on craigslist looking for a bagpiper to play for 10 minutes outside the church. When he replied to the ad, I mentioned that I also needed a DJ. He responded that he would be available and I wrote back, 'where are you located and when would be a good time to meet?'

I made several appointments with LIW DJ vendors and waited for a response from him- here is what I got today:

We spoke on May 1 regarding setting up a meeting to speak about DJ services. I still have not heard from you. You can call me to set up an appointment or kindly respond back via e-mail to let me know you do not need my help any longer. Please work with me here, the longer you wait to book a wedding DJ, the harder it becomes to plan the perfect day.

Once again, I look forward to hearing from you'

I took it as kind of rude in tone and wrote back Please work with you? I sent you an email asking when would be a good time. That was 7 days ago- I have a job and a life and I haven't had the chance to call yet, and obviously, you haven't had the time to answer my question through email. I won't be needing your services. '


Did I over react, or was he rude (The 'Please work with me here' thing)?

I'm thinking I may really have bridezilla/PMS brain this morning....
