is this normal bc/preggo q TMI

i feel like im preggo but i dont think i could b ... first off i havent had sex in over 2 monthes and i got my period both times--on time and all..i recently went back on the pill and my boobs hurt like hell...im so naseuous every morning.. and any smell feels so strong and makes me feel soo sick to my stomach..im kinda worried but not ya kno...could these b affects of going on the pill?? i have only been on it for 9 days!! could it b mind over matter? help! LOL:)

omg, i feel the SAME way ever since i went back on the pill.... i'm actually really glad you posted that cuz i was weirded out for myself too. what pills are you on? im on Othro Tri Cyclin Lo..... i didnt even THINK about it being the pill til you said it. i can NOT brush my back teeth without getting dry heeves and i feel nausuas when i wake up.

Yup... that's the effect of the pill, especially for the first few months you're on it. Basically, the way the pill works as a contraceptive is it makes your body think its pregnant so that you can't actually get pregnant. That's why a lot of women get symptoms similar to pregnancy in the first few weeks of being on the pill. When I first went on, I experienced serious mood swings and nauseau, though it went away within a few weeks. If you have really bad symptoms, go to your doc - he/she can prescribe a different pill that may give you less symptoms. That's what I did....

oh wow i m on ortho tri-cyclen lo also!!!! wow it must b the side effects of it... not fun lemme tell ya plus i thought i was like having a baby even tho i aint having sex lol...

yeah i hear ya..i even get worse cramps when Im ON the pilll..it just sux..at least u women r having sex lol..im still on the pill just to b safe...incase i get the urge to b naughty lmao

Same here - I switched to LO because I was getting a little moddy on the second week of pills. Now instead of getting moody I get heavy spotting - like 2 periods a month
I am starting a new pill next month - Ovcon 35. I am nervous! I might just go back on Ortho-tri-cyclen.. its effects were really not that bad.

The pill will do that since it takes 3 months for your body to adjust to the hormones being all changed up so, yea....its unfortunate that some people to do sick.

I was on Ortho Tri-cylcen for years and it worked out ok only that I would forget it sometimes and would get sick from double it up so I switched.......Ortho Evra-the patch. Its Awesome and I didnt have any sickness in the beginning. No forgetting the pill and it comes like clockwork every month.

take the pill with food - it helps the nausea.

It will pass - it took me a good 4 months to feel 'normal.'

I've been on ortho tri cyclen for the last 6 years. I went through a period of time when I was very nauseous in the morning and even had trouble brushing my teeth without heaving. That feeling has since gone away for the most part, but I experienced it off and on for a good couple of years in college.

I've been on othro tri cyclen for a few years. When the Lo came out my gyno had me switch for that 6 month period. I know that not everyone has the same reaction but I that pill made me the craziest of any I have ever taken. It was so bad that there was a period of time I didn't think FH and I (then BF and I) would make it through. I switched back to the regular last January and have been a HAPPY camper ever since.
