I just went to my first florist....and the quote I got was $3400 w/tax for :
My BOQ = black magic roses, dahlias and stock? purple spikey things... 2 MOH boq (black magic roses and purple stock for all) 2 BM boq
6 of boutenierre (sp?) 2 corsages for moms
13 high centerpieces with black magic roses, hydrangeas and snapdragons $165 each..
2 altar baskets
Petals for FG, petals for place card table, cake flowers and flower offering for the Virgen Mary..
Is this a good price? I thought I would be able to get this for 2k? Is that being unreasonble?
I appreciate any honest feed back...I want to be realistic in terms of what I could get with 2k...
I def. want high centerpieces...i just didn't know they were that much!

With tax I don' t think it's bad but I still think it's a little on the higher side. I know tall CP's are more expensive than lower ones, though so maybe that's why?!

Yea thats too much. They gotta include alot of other stuff in there for no charge and knock off the tax and a few hundred bux and THEN you'll be in a better range! Keep searching, and ALWAYS negotiate prices!!!

It sounds prett hight to me. I am paying about half of that and I have a similar amount of items.... I would shop around to see if you can find a better price.

Too high - keep looking. You can get it a lot closer to the $2,000 if you go to the right person.

sounds a little high-- i would go to other florists and give them the SAME list of flowers and what you want but don't tell them budget or price and see what they say. try flower michele b/c i heard john is really good with budgets-- but i would let him price it for you first and then say that you would really like to keep it within the range (b/c you never know, maybe they will quote you less than your budget off the bat) otherwise they might go right up to your budget when it would have been less.... HTH, try flower michele and a few other places (laurie from la blossom, etc). good luck, HTH

It sounds like its a very full centerpiece. I guess if you wanted smaller centerpieces im sure you can get this for less.

WOOHOO!!! Thats way to high.. Im flowers for the same amount of people but 5 flower girls and I was quoted less then yours from 3 different venders...
Just waiting to see whats at the Bridal Extravaganza on the 17th before I make my final...

I just wanted to say my cousin had his wedding at Flowerfield and I think that was the best wedding I have ever been to. From the friendly and helpful staff to the delicious food!!!
