OK so basically I may not make my minimum by several people. We invited a total of 180 & my minimum is 125 & FH & I basically feel really hurt that family is about 75% of the no's.
Anyway, I originally left several friends off of my invite list b/c either we've drifted apart over the past year or they live in NJ & the drive would be annoying & didn't want them to feel pressured to attend and also b/c our original invite number was so high I never would have thought that I might not make my minimum.
Well, I still have invites that I can send to about 10 more people.... My question is is it rude to send them the invites at this time in the planning? The rsvp's that I have have an rsvp date of 9/1/07 & I'd probably mail them out on 8/16/07?

ok, thanks.. I hope they don't notice, I don't want them to feel bad and honestly, I would love to strengthen the friendships that I had with each of these people.

It depends on the friends ... I personally wouldn't be offended if I got an invitation by phone the day before a wedding. However, some people do get riled up about it, but if they may care but you can pull it off without upsetting anyone, go for it.

nahh..whatever!! my sister & bro in law recieved an email for a wedding late (they were obviously on the b list...maybe even c list!) but they were just happy to be included & they wound up going.
its worth a shot!!! i say go for it!!!

That's fine, go for it! I was in the same position as you, and I still invited people 2 weeks before the wedding!! (OK 2 weeks may be considered rude, but it was only people that totally understood the situation and were thrilled to come)

Go for it. If you've grown apart, they might know they were b-listed, but if any of them have planned weddings before, they'l understand.
