OK so basically I may not make my minimum by several people. We invited a total of 180 & my minimum is 125 & FH & I basically feel really hurt that family is about 75% of the no's.
Anyway, I originally left several friends off of my invite list b/c either we've drifted apart over the past year or they live in NJ & the drive would be annoying & didn't want them to feel pressured to attend and also b/c our original invite number was so high I never would have thought that I might not make my minimum.
Well, I still have invites that I can send to about 10 more people.... My question is is it rude to send them the invites at this time in the planning? The rsvp's that I have have an rsvp date of 9/1/07 & I'd probably mail them out on 8/16/07?

Must be something about the September Royalton weddings! I feel your pain. Today was our respond by date and we are way under too. And a lot of our no's were family that are local that came to FH's sister's wedding earlier this year. :(
Have you mentioned to the Royalton yet? I wonder if they will work with us at all? Or maybe give us some of the stuff we cut out for costs back?

no, I haven't mentioned it b/c I think that with my additional people I may just make it. At least, I hope. I'm sure if you told the RH, they would do their best to make it up to you.
But yeah, it totally *****! At first I felt bad b/c it was mainly FH's family that said no & he always went to their crap but now I just feel pissed for him.

i dont think its rude at all considering the fact these are people you are not close with. Im sure theyll feel honored that you invited them...your day is almost here you must be so excited!!

I haven't mentioned it to the hall yet because we still have some non-responders out there. Praying they all say yes! By next week I think I'll call and see what they will do.

I would definitely send them out! If anyone ever asked you about it, they would understand anyway...but I doubt they will ask!! If you have the extra invites, I say go for it! You have nothing to lose!! GL!
