A friend told me that when you go dress shopping, you are allowed about an hour in the store, and they let you try on about 6 dresses.
I have my first appts. this Saturday, and I hope this is not the case!!!

Re: Is this true? (Dress question)
Some stores do make 1 hr appts., but not all of them. Chances are even if they do make appts for just an hour, if theyre not busy they'll let you keep trying on dresses.

Re: Is this true? (Dress question)
I think it depends on the store. Some stores I went to wanted to get rid of me in 45 minutes bc it was a Saturday. Another store didn't care if I was there all day!

Re: Is this true? (Dress question)
I went to Paradise Bridal in Patchogue and they didn't give me any problems about the amount of time or # of dresses

Okay, thanks girls. I thought it was kind of random, and I figured some stores might try and get you out quick, but, not ALL of them.

Re: Is this true? (Dress question)
kleinfelds appointments are 90 mins. However i was able to stay for two hours, the reason why i think is bc my appointment was at 4:30, and obviously they weren't gonna give the lady who helped me an appointment after me bc the place closed at 6:30 so there wasn't time for someone else so i was able to stay until they closed

I don't think its true for either place. I tried 4-5 dresses on at both places,
I was at DB for more than an hour mostly because the 'consultant' kept on saying, wait a min, i need to help another bride. I was soooo annoyed since I had an appointment and expected at least a little attention and got none.
The people at BS were soooo nice, I was there a second time this week showing my mom a dress. I almost felt bad that i'm not buying my dress there.

I have to second Lillette's (where I bought my dress)- ask for Gerri she's a doll and the best to work with!

Re: Is this true? (Dress question)
I was at Helens during the Maggie trunk show for over two hours and i tried on like every gown there. david's has never restricted the time or amount of gowns i've tried on. Estelle's basically let me have the run of the place
I have three or four appointments tomorrow at differant places. i only go during the week... i think it totally depends on the day and time of day you go
