We booked a different photographer and videographer. (the video guy is a friend of my FH and the photographer he usually works with was booked already) The photographer called today and said he didn't want the video guy coming to his 'special' shoots (he goes near the Brooklyn bridge and into the city) b/c he didn't want to reveal any of his secret shots. ?????????? So what do we just lose the videographer for a couple of hours? We think he is trying to get us to book his company for video too... I mean..he straight out said that he wants that b/c it would be better if it were one company and they could work together. We think he is scared of the competition. I feel like if you are confident and have a lot of business then who cares if they see your 'special shots'.....you do it better anyway. what do you think? Should we cancel the photographer and get someone who can work well with others? I dont want my vendors fighting on my wedding day.

Sounds a little fishy to me, I agree with you. It seems as if they are trying to get you to use their guy. Hmmmm....I am not sure what to in this situation

Re: Is this weird?
what?? that seems very strange to me - it's an outdoor place, somebody's bound to stumble on it all by themselves. is there a manager or head photog at the photo place you could talk to? one thing i've learned on here is that if you're uncomfortable with a vendor, you probably have a reason to be. don't stick with them if you don't feel right about it. i hope everything works out ok!

Re: Is this weird?
Thats interesting..I am in a similiar situation. My videographer is a close friend of mine and the photographer is just a reg. vendor...my videographer(friend) said 'Your photographer better not get in my way and think hes all that....because those guys arent nothing...' What the hell is that about?!?...I left it alone..honestly Im just hoping nothing happens the day of my wedding
I do agree with you, if the photographer is a good photographer and confident enough in his work it wouldnt matter if other vendors saw his 'secret spot'..a bit immature if you ask me....

that's very strange. you shouldn't have to ditch your vidoegrapher, that's crazy.
The videographer can capture priceless moments while you're taking pics and you shouldn't lose that just b/c your photographer is being weird.
don't let him pressure you.

That does seem a little weird. I mean it's not like the brooklyn bridge is a secret spot..it's how u shoot it that makes a difference. That's tough, but I don't know if i'd trust him!

that's weird. go with your gut. if you don't feel comfy with him, go with someone else. just make sure to review your contract before making any decisions.

Re: Is this weird?
Seems very unprofessional on the photographers part to me..... If he's already acting strage towards the videographer is he going to be nasty and try to sabotage him during the day??? I would look into getting a different more professional photographer.... I wouldn't want to take chances on any drama that day.

Re: Is this weird?
dump the photographer. anyone you show the pictures to will know his 'secret shots' anyway.
