Is this weird?? Our first gift..

So I got a huge box from Bed Bath and Beyond and was like 'hmm, maybe its from someone who got the save the date and can't come to the wedding..'

I open the card it comes with and it says

'God Bless you always, Congrats'

no signature.

So I look at the recepit and it says its from a PO BOx in NYC and the name thats given is 'Bowling'

I'm like what the heck is bowling, did an alley send me something?? We know absolutely nobody with that last name, so my mom was like call James and see if its from their side

so i call

and I'm like do you know a person with the last name Bowling?

and there is a pause..

he's like. oh. my .g od.

I'm like WHAT!? (ex gf?)

he's like that's from my college professor.


he graduated in 2005.

how did he even know we were registered there or getting married?!

FH and all of his friends always used to joke about this guy having a crush on my FH, so this really was weird to me.

But he got us two lenox settings, which are absolutely amazing and beautiful and what we really wanted lol. So thank you, Mr. Bowling.
