I agree with you. I told my bridal party and mother that I didn't want it to be a surprise because it's so annoying for them to be secreative and I would reather just know since I know I'm having one. I helped them figure out the date and then they booked where I wanted it.....I won't know any other details besides date and location. I will show up after the guests arrive, I won't be there to great them when they arrive.

Re: Is this wrong of me
Personally I wanted to be totally surprised, but I have heard of people knowing (some even helping plan) their bridal shower. I don't think it is odd!

I hate surprises, so I knew when my shower was with my family upstate and I helped plan it, so I felt better about it. I don't enjoy being in the lime light all that much either, and the surprise one my MIL threw for me down here, well, wasn't a surprise at all cause she spilled her own beans!

Re: Is this wrong of me
Thanks Ladies!! I really love surprises but I just don't think they could surprise me because I know the outfit I'd like to wear (I want to have a 'pajama party bridal shower...cute idea huh??) so I have this great sweatpants outfit from BCBG that I want ed to wear.
And I know where I want it ... so I just thought there would be really no way that they could surprise me.
Does that make sense?

I really want to be suprised b/c I think it adds to the fun of it. But I know brides that don't want to be suprised so do what you want.
